Established in 2009, Himkala Limbu Designs is a Hong Kong based fashion brand founded by Himkala Limbu, which designs and manufactures high-end, ready-to-wear women's clothing. Himkala Limbu’s designs are made with only the finest materials, sourced first hand by the designer herself with an emphasis on exceptional finishing.
Himkala Limbu’s dresses are classic and feminine, from cocktail dresses to evening gowns, and cater to women looking for pieces for an evening party or a formal event.
In 2016, Himkala Limbu Designs proudly announced the debut of a new ready-to-wear smart casual label, LovLimbu. While Himkala Limbu is focused on elegant and formal wear, LovLimbu creates trendy, easy-to-wear items that women can use on a day-to-day basis, while still projecting a sense of beauty and individuality.

ABOUT DESIGNER
Himkala Limbu was born and raised in Hong Kong and moved with her family to various countries in Asia, such as Nepal and Brunei, before finally settling back in her birthplace. Her interest in art and design started at a very young age, having been influenced by the exotic crafts and artistry from the different cultures she grew up in. This love of design, fashion and style continued throughout her school years and in 2005 she won the ADF Fashion Design Competition at the Hong Kong Art & Design Festival. In 2006, Himkala graduated from the Hong Kong Communication and Art Centre majoring in Fashion Design.
Himkala launched her first collection after participating in the Hong Kong Fashion Week in 2008. Her designs have been created from the influences of her colorful, ethnical background, her travels to exotic countries and inspiration she gets from everyday life.
Every woman wants to feel powerful and confident as they go about their everyday life, be it in the office, on-the go or attending big events. Therefore, every design has its own individual story and their own distinctive details. Himkala’s designs have been labelled ‘elegant’, ‘sensual’, ‘unique’ and ‘cutting edge’ and are meant to empower women to become the ideal person they desire to be.
